(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 18 - After the peak of 2020, caused by complaints about delays or refusals in the granting of Covid loans, complaints from bank customers presented to the Bank of Italy drop in 2021.

As stated in the annual report, the growth of online scams continues, especially the confuration of credentials, which still represent a small part of the total cashless payments.

And so the central bank received almost 9,900 exposures last year (-12% compared to 2020), among which those relating to loan requests were about 35 per cent of the total (-37%).

And more and more banks refuse to open or maintain current accounts due to the economic difficulties of customers or the problems of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism legislation.

In 2021, the central institute received 106 complaints on the subject (compared to 30 in 2020). .
