The Italian swordsman beaten in the semifinals by the German Ndolo (ANSA)  The first medal for Italy at the Fencing World Championships in Cairo is bronze: the blue swordswoman Rossella Fiamingo was defeated in the semifinals by the German Alexandra Ndolo with a score of 15-10. For the rules of the tournament, the 31-year-old Sicilian will still be on the third step of the podium, as a bronze final is not expected, as in the Olympics.
