Five people were rescued from the water last night (Tuesday) after a boat sank off the coast of Ashdod.

The victims are the boat operator, a 42-year-old father and his three children;

Boys as young as 16 and 13 and an 8-year-old boy, who were slightly injured, and rescued while fully conscious.

Navy police and other naval forces located and rescued the four ashore, where MDA medics and paramedics who were called to the scene provided them with medical treatment and evacuated them to Assuta Hospital in the city.
