The department's firefighters were put to the test on Tuesday. A 40-year-old woman had her arm partially severed as she walked

A woman firefighter in her forties was seriously injured on Tuesday during an intervention at the aerodrome of Saint-Cyr-l'Ecole (Yvelines).

Fire professionals were called in the early afternoon for a runway fire.

But as she arrived there, the driver lost control of her vehicle for a reason that remains unknown.

The fire truck overturned on its side, seriously injuring the driver.

The victim, who had a partially severed arm, was quickly taken care of, before being transported under escort around 3 p.m. to the Georges-Pompidou Hospital in Paris (15th arrondissement).

This is not the only fire on which fire professionals intervened this Tuesday heat wave.

Around 3 p.m., SNCF traffic on the J line of the Transilien was thus interrupted in the Paris-Province direction after a fire broke out near the railway tracks at Limay, still in the Yvelines.

The fire is of accidental origin since it was caused by DIY work.

Later in the evening, this time it was a major forest fire that was reported near Rochefort-en-Yvelines.

Four hectares of undergrowth quickly went up in smoke for an undetermined reason and 74 firefighters were hired as soon as the alert was given in this sector.

At 10 p.m. on Tuesday evening, the fire was far from being brought under control due to the southwest wind which rose and the forces on the spot planned to spend at least the night there.
