for medical cooperation has been signed between the
Magdi Yacoub Foundation
for heart disease and scientific research and
the Italian Bambino Gesù del Cairo Onlus Association
, which follows the construction of the Bambino Gesù Hospital in the new administrative capital of Cairo.
The ceremony included the presentation of the charity projects carried out by the Italian Child Jesus Association, in particular the orphanage project "Oasi della Pietà", whose name was inspired by the gift of Pope Francis for this project, a copy of the statue of Michelangelo's mercy.

The agreement provides for collaboration in the medical field, as the Magdi Yacoub Foundation, a pioneer in the field of cardiology and in the care of children with heart disease, will contribute to the training of medical and nursing staff at the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Cairo and will collaborate in research medical.
The Bambino Gesù Association will receive and treat children and the cases presented by the Magdi Yacoub Foundation.The memorandum of understanding also arises from the establishment of a mixed commission, which meets twice a year to study all areas of cooperation and support the joint work between the two institutions.
