The coordinator of a theatrical association, a 45-year-old from Reggio, was arrested with a custody order in prison for aggravated sexual violence against a dozen students, including some minors.
The investigation is carried out by the Reggio Emilia carabinieri, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office.
The investigations started in mid-April when a young man decided to report, after contacting some former pupils: from the comparison it emerged that all had been abused.
For the investigations, the episodes, in one case extreme practices with strangulation that risked making the victim faint, would have been carried out from 2016.
The man is in prison, as part of the investigation by the carabinieri of the operational section of the Reggio Emilia Company, coordinated by the prosecutor Valentina Salvi of the Reggio Emilia public prosecutor, directed by the prosecutor Calogero Gaetano Paci, in execution of a precautionary custody order issued by the Gip Dario De Luca - at the request of the Reggio Prosecutor's Office.
The investigations were made through the testimonies of the victims and the examination of the chats present in mobile phones.
Some spontaneously denounced the violence they suffered, while others were tracked down and listened to by the carabinieri.
