(ANSA) - TOKYO, AUG 21 - Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida tested positive for Covid-19, following a test carried out on Sunday.

This was announced by the office of the Japanese Cabinet, explaining that Kishida began to manifest mild symptoms, including a slight fever and cough on Saturday evening.

The 65 / year old premier, who is in his official residence in Tokyo, had been on vacation for a week with his family.
