Where the Minister of Electricity, Eng. Ghassan Al-Zamil, met with those in charge of implementing the station project and was briefed on the progress of work in the project sections, stressing commitment to the plans set to finish the works on time.
During his tour of the station, the Minister of Electricity praised the efforts of the national experts, which are establishing for the first time a power transfer station (230-66-kV) in Al-Rastan, which will transmit the electricity generated at the station.
It is noteworthy that the total capacity of the plant after the completion of its implementation is 526 megawatts, which can be expanded with a similar capacity and at a total cost of 411 million euros, and it includes two gas and one steam groups.
