Green light from Ema to vaccines adapted for Omicron

By Pfizer-Biontech and Moderna, booster for people over 12 (ANSA)  The European Medicines Agency's (EMA) Committee for Human Medicines has recommended authorizing two vaccines adapted to provide broader protection against Covid-19. These are Comirnaty Original / Omicron BA.1 and Spikevax Bivalent Original / Omicron BA.1, Pfizer Biontech and Moderna. They are intended for people aged 12 and over who have received at least the primary vaccination against Covid-19.

Hope, in September the first vaccines adapted to the Omicron variant - Health & Wellness

Ema will give ok the first oki to vaccines adapted to the Omicron variant.

Aifa will decide on 5 September.

Meanwhile, the cases of Covid-19 in Italy have returned to decline in the last week (-15.8%).

Intensive care (-11%), ordinary hospitalizations (-14.9%) and deaths (-24.4%) are also decreasing (ANSA)
