    The flames, which began to flare up yesterday, have already burned over 2,100 hectares of the hinterland of Los Angeles and seven firefighters have been forced to a brief hospitalization for minor injuries caused by the heat.


    California, like some areas of Nevada and Arizona, is in the throes of scorching heat these days with temperatures as high as 43 degrees in the fire area.

The suffocating weather is expected to continue until next week, with peaks of up to 46 degrees.

The fire on the highway that connects Los Angelesa San Francisco, renamed precisely "Route Fire", is "a wake-up call" about the risks of other phenomena of the kind, warned Robert Garcia, chief of the fire brigade of the Los Angeles area.
