There is controversy over an election video of the outgoing Tuscan senator of Forza Italia and candidate in the upcoming elections Massimo Mallegni, published, and then removed, on social media where he was judged "sexist".
In the commercial, which announces a provision to give "an income and a pension" to housewives, the blue parliamentarian is seen together with a woman intent on cleaning the house with a vacuum cleaner and another struggling with an iron.
In the video Mallegni says: "Taking care of the family seven days a week is not a job? From September 26, if we are in the government, we will approve a law to give a salary and a pension to our wives and mothers. Remember that".
