The World Champion took his Red Bull to complete the lap in 1.21.252, ahead of Leclerc's Ferrari (+0.347), teammate Perez (+0.596)

and the other Cavallino driver Sainz (+0.645).

Further back, Mercedes, however, focused on finding the right set-up for the race pace: Russell is seventh (+1.105), Hamilton is tenth (+1.315).

Qualifying is scheduled at 4pm.
