After years of estrangement, the Sussexes and Wales appeared in communion, as the coffin of Elizabeth II had just arrived at Westminster Hall.

After years of tension, the royal family seeks to be united.

The coffin of Elizabeth II left Buckingham Palace this Wednesday, September 14, to join the Palace of Westminster (Westminster Hall), where it will be exposed for a final farewell with the British.

Laid on a Royal Horse Artillery gun carriage, the coffin was followed on foot by King Charles III in uniform and his sister Anne, brothers Andrew and Edward.

Behind them stood Prince William, the first heir to the British throne, and his brother Prince Harry alongside their wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle.

A funeral procession which was reminiscent of that of September 6, 1997, when the two princes had walked together behind the coffin of their mother Lady Diana during her funeral.

After about thirty minutes of slow walking through the British capital, the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II arrived at Westminster Hall, to the sound of funeral marches by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Chopin played by a military band.

At the church service, the Sussexes were placed just one row behind the Wales.
