Anne, the princess royal, only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, was in Scotland.
She was able to verify the affection of the Scots for her mother when visiting the site where a floral offering was mounted in memory of the monarch, in Glasgow.
The royal family continues its tour of the United Kingdom to be close to the British in this period of mourning.
