Dropping the social and humanitarian issues left by the wars in the Arab reality, and the conspiracy being cooked against the Arab nation, was the essence of what director Zenati Qudsia presented in the comedic theatrical performance “Abu Zaid Al-Hilali”, which is being shown for the first time, hosted by the stage of the Cultural Center in Tartous.

The show, which was presented by the Syndicate of Artists in Syria in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture in Tartous, is a theatrical work of the Homs Artists Syndicate, written by the director Qudsiya, in which he embodied the character of Abu Zaid Al-Hilali. On the Arabs, and the work is not historical as some imagine, but invoking the name as an Arab symbol, we may see it at all times to talk through that historical figure about the problems of our Arab nation, and the setbacks it suffers from that have greatly affected our societies.

In turn, actress Mithal Jammoul, who embodied the role of Dr. Jacqueline, a bully who does not like anything, indicated that the work deals with aspects that directly affect us, including what the days revealed about the false claims of the West about democracy, peace and human rights towards the Arabs.

The theater director and actor Hussein Arab stressed the need for the presence of theatre, in particular the comedy theater, as it is the most attractive and interactive by the audience, and the most capable of touching various issues.

A number of young actors, including engineering student Fadi Ziadeh and Ezz El-Din Issa, a student of Arabic literature and a student of the music department, Efram El-Zakimi, considered that what motivated them to work in theatrical work was their passion for acting, especially theater as it is considered the father of arts, in addition to the status and pioneering experience of director Zenati Qudsia and his desire and interest in introducing elements Young women work, considering their role as nurses in the psychiatric clinic as a metaphor for some individuals who are used as a tool to achieve certain goals.
