Alfredo Chiappori, an internationally renowned designer and writer, died: he was 79 years old and lived in Lecco.

His "Up the subversive" has characterized entire seasons of Italian history and political satire.

As a painter he has exhibited personal with presentations by important critics such as Giulio Carlo Argan and Umberto Eco.

Over the years he has collaborated with the main Italian newspapers.

Last May the city of Lecco paid homage to him with an evening at the Nuovo Aquilone cinema, with the presentation of the documentary film "Multiforme ingegno", which saw him as the protagonist.

It was mentioned the publisher Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, who had published his "Up the subversive" in 1970 and the critic Oreste Del Buono, with the "Stories of Italy".

Chiappori then devoted himself to the Bible of which he "painted" the Apocalypse, the Canticle of Songs, the Psalms, Genesis and the Qohèlet or Ecclesiastes.

An artistic work followed by Father David Maria Turoldo and Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi.
