Vandalism of golf courses: when ecology turns into class struggle

INVESTIGATION - For three months, nine courses have been ransacked by radical activists, in the name of the environment. Who is hiding behind these small groups? What are their real motivations?

Friday, September 30, the small world of golf wakes up groggy.

The golf course of Saint-Cloud, in the Hauts-de-Seine, has just been visited and vandalized, in the middle of the night, by a small group of environmental activists calling themselves the Syndicated Boars.

Damaged sprinkler system, fairways plowed with pickaxes, grass torn off the greens… Seven holes of this Parisian club were ransacked in this way, wildly and gratuitously.

Damage - power ten - similar to that done by wild boars that turn the earth, in packs, at night - a scourge with which several courses are regularly confronted.

Bourgeois = parasites

are some of the messages that have been tagged on the greens by these activists.
