It was the game of the week in district class 3 - and it had consequences for the table: SV Vötting won at FC Moosburg and took first place.

Moosburg/Vötting

– That's when it actually happened: District class 3 has been led by SV Vötting since Saturday afternoon.

The SVV deservedly won the top game at previous league leaders FC Moosburg 2-1.

The 100 spectators saw two completely different halves.

The team from Dreirosenstadt played poorly and initially didn't get into the opposing penalty area at all.

The guests seemed more dangerous in their actions, but without creating top chances.

When Daniel Hesse chipped a 25-metre free-kick from inside the box and Philipp Weinberger extended the ball into the far corner, Vöttinger's lead was perfect (39').

FC Moosburg comes into play better after the break

FCM came into play better in the second half and received a penalty after a foul on Leonor Ademi, which Mihai Raducanu safely pocketed to equalize (55').

After that, Moosburg seemed dangerous to begin with, but mostly didn't play well with the few actions.

Vötting tested FCM keeper Benjamin Prechtl with a low free kick (70'), on the other side Julian Schreiner missed a great chance with a header (75').

The decisive goal finally came after a carelessness in Moosburg's defence: a SVV throw-in from the left got the ball to Jonas Sittenauer, who shot alone against five defenders and scored to make it 1-2 (85').

Max Peschek proud of his team

“We made it too easy for Vötting.

But we lost the game in the first half,” said FCM coach Mario Sinicki.

"It's on me.

We thought about something tactically – and that didn't work.” His colleague Max Peschek from the SVV was just proud of his squad.
