Bad Tölz – Bairawieser Straße in Tölz has been closed for some time due to construction work.

The "Rumpelstrecke" is completely redesigned from the Jahnstraße junction to Nockhergasse.

Sidewalks will be created, lines will be laid and the junction areas and parking facilities will be completely redesigned.

At the request of Johannes Gundermann (Greens), Mayor Ingo Mehner announced in the most recent city council meeting that the expansion from the north to the vocational school should be finished by Leonhardi on November 6th, and the rest will be done in the new year.

According to the mayor of Tölz, there were delays because not all residents agreed to the laying of lines on their properties.

Prior to the construction project, residents had expressed concerns that they did not like the city's plans.

Last year, Jahnstraße was blocked due to the local heating supply in the area of the Jahn School, so that all traffic was diverted via Bairawieser Straße.

The excavators are currently at work in front of the Manhartstraße junction.

In this area, some old private houses are currently being demolished or renovated.

There have also been changes compared to the original planning at the junction with the Höhenbergweg, since a chestnut tree that was actually intended for felling was moved with the help of donations and integrated into street sales.
