Armel Le Cleac'h has probably lost all hope of winning the Route du rhum 2022. The skipper of Banque Populaire, who was in 4th place in the Ultims ranking this Thursday morning, announced that he was the victim of major damage.
At midday, he noticed the breakage of the daggerboard under the bottom of the boat's hull after hearing a creak.
The navigator said he was heading for Lorient, which he should reach in about ten hours to assess the damage and see if it is possible to repair it.
