Chinano Onwako, ex Bnei Herzliya and last season's player, signed today (Sunday) with Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The American center (26, 2.08 m) won the player of the season title last season after averaging 15.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game in the Herzliya uniform.
He started the season in the Italian Dynamo Sasari Bemedia scoring 12 points and 7.3 rebounds in 21.6 minutes on average.
Team coach Danny Franco: "As a winning team, we chose to prefer the chance to the risk and strengthen ourselves in the paint with Chinano.
