On video: Turkey: an explosion was heard in Taksim Square in Istanbul (Walla system!)
At least 11 people were injured in a loud explosion that was heard today (Sunday) on Istiklal Street in Taksim Square in Istanbul, according to a CNN Turk report.
Security forces and rescue teams are on their way to the scene.
The Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Wing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul are investigating whether Israelis were involved in the incident.
