The alleged murderer of a 73-year-old man, found dead at his home on Wednesday in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, was arrested on Thursday in Paris and placed in police custody, according to our information, confirmed by the Paris prosecutor's office.

Shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Daniel P. was found lying in his office at his home on Avenue Simon-Bolivar.

According to Actu 17, the septuagenarian had sores on his neck and face.

Traces of blood were visible, especially on the walls of the apartment.

Custody still ongoing

The 2nd DPJ, seized of the investigations, quickly set out on the trail of Seyed A., a 31-year-old homeless Afghan, already known to justice for acts of sexual assault in particular.

And it was shortly before 4 p.m. that he was arrested on Thursday at the Lariboisière hospital (10th arrondissement of Paris), where investigators had located him.

The suspect was then awaiting transfer to the Sainte-Anne psychiatric hospital (16th arrondissement).

While in police custody, Seyed A., had a brief stay in the Psychiatric Infirmary of the police headquarters (I3P).

His police custody this Saturday was "still in progress", according to the Paris prosecutor's office.
