(ANSA) - PARIS, DECEMBER 23 - Shots were fired in Paris, causing the wounding of several people.
A man was then arrested, according to French police sources.
According to police sources quoted by the French press, shots were fired in the center of Paris shortly before noon, causing several injuries.
The events took place in rue d'Enghien, in the tenth arrondissement (district) of Paris.
The man arrested, police sources say, "could be in his sixties".
Meanwhile, people are in shock.
"Seven, eight, shots in the street, it was total panic. We remained locked inside"; says a local shopkeeper quoted by France Presse.
