Since last May they have been living and sleeping in a car, in a parking lot in Legnano, in the province of Milan, since they are unable to give guarantees to rent a house: this is the story of Ignazio and his wife Milena, who have three children, two aged 7 and 8 and little Ethan, born on 6 December and currently hospitalized in a Milan hospital due to a series of medical complications that arose after the birth.
The mother, who has a basic income, spent the pregnancy first sleeping in a warehouse and then in the car.
In fact, she and her husband Ignazio, who has a fixed-term contract, are unable to give guarantees to find a home.
The municipality of Legnano has taken action to resolve the situation but at the moment the only real help has come from friends and acquaintances of the family.
And above all by the 'Il Sole nel Cuore' Association, which has guaranteed and will guarantee the family at least to spend Christmas in a hotel.
