Actor Jeremy Renner is in "critical but stable condition" at a Reno-area hospital after being injured in a snowplow incident, CNN affiliate KABC reported, citing a spokesman for Renner.
According to a press release from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a "traumatic injury" in the Mt. Rose Highway area of Reno, Nevada.
Upon arrival, officers coordinated with the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and REMSA Health to arrange for Renner's medical transport via care flight to a local area hospital, according to the statement.
The sheriff's office did not provide details about the extent of Renner's injuries or what may have caused the accident.
Renner was the only party involved in the incident, according to the statement.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
