The proof: “Vaincre ou Die”, the first film produced by the Vendée leisure park, scheduled for Wednesday January 25 in 250 theaters in France, begins with… 3 minutes of interview with historians, immersed in semi-darkness.

For a bit, the spectator could believe himself back in his living room, in front of one of the many documentaries visible on television.

The sequel adopts more the codes of the action feature film, with scenes of battles, angry crowds and summary executions during “the Vendée war” (1793-1796).

But without really convincing neither on the form, nor on the bottom.
