(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 24 - "Cybernetic attacks will increase in complexity and number. Microsoft has recently estimated 1,300 attempts per second in the world, equal to 110 million a day, 3 million of which in Italy based on GDP. It is one of the great problems to deal with and it is important to network, to develop skills".
This was stated by the director general of the national cybersecurity agency, Roberto Baldoni, during a conference in the Senate.
"We - informed Baldoni - converse with the Regions to increase their cyber capacity. There are two funds dedicated to cybersecurity which are added to the 623 million euro one of the Pnrr to give the Public Administration important tools for defence".
We need, he underlined, "experts; we have few of them and many go abroad. The Agency has made an agreement with 5 Regions (Umbria, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Liguria and Puglia) and I hope that all the others will join together to try to create two-year post-diploma that will allow PA and local industry to create those skills that are essential to be able to keep attacks at bay".
