(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, JAN 31 - The US opposes any "unilateral action" by the two sides that represents an obstacle to the two-state solution and this "includes the extension of settlements, the demolition of houses and the violation of the status quo in holy places".

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this during his meeting with President Abu Mazen in Ramallah, quoted by the media.

Blinken said Palestinians face "a horizon of hope" that is shrinking.
