A woman was found dead on Friday at her home in Sarthe after being the victim of an attack and having been beaten "
probably
" by a sharp object, we learned from the public prosecutor in Le Mans Delphine Dawailly.
The lifeless body of the deceased, aged 50, was discovered in the morning at her home in Coulans-sur-Gée, a town west of Le Mans, where she lived alone.
Unknown motives

From the first elements of the investigation, it appears that this death was caused by the aggression to which she was subjected, and the blows received, probably with a sharp object.

,” the prosecutor said in a statement.

The Sarthe gendarmerie group, supported by the research section of the Angers gendarmerie, carried out the necessary technical surveys during the day, as well as interviewing several people around him.
The forensic doctor from the Angers Forensic Institute went to the scene and carried out an initial examination of the body.
An autopsy will be performed early next week.
