Moscow, SANA- An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted the Sakhalin region in eastern Russia today, without causing any casualties.

Today, an earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale shook the Sakhalin region in eastern Russia, without causing any human or material losses.

The RIA Novosti agency quoted the Geophysical Authority of the Russian Academy of Sciences as saying in a statement: The epicenter of the tremor is located 11 km southeast of the village of Gornoye in the Makarovsky region.

The statement indicated that the residents of the region felt the tremor, which did not cause any losses.
