Today (4th) at 10:39 in the morning, a security guard of Yan Ying Building, Jaffe Road, Wanchai found thick smoke coming out of a high-rise unit while patrolling, so he called the police for help.
After receiving the report, the officers broke into the house and found a man lying unconscious in the unit.
When the male victim was sent to the hospital, he needed automatic cardiac compression first aid, and was sent to Ruttonjee for treatment by ambulance.
The police are investigating the incident.
After preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the man committed suicide by burning charcoal.
