To the senators, the Prime Minister denounced the association's "ambiguities in the face of radical Islamism".

“I know the history of this great association and for a long time, the history of republican emancipation and that of the League of Human Rights were intertwined: universalism was a common ground”, assured Élisabeth

Borne , during questions to the government in the Senate.

And if the Prime Minister claims to have

“a lot of respect”

for what the association

“embodied”

, she assures today:

“I no longer understand some of her positions.”

“This misunderstanding is not new: it has emerged in its ambiguities in the face of radical Islamism, and it has been consolidated for a few months”

, continued Elisabeth Borne facing the senators.

A

"misunderstanding"

, she believes,

"shared by many associative actors"

.

"In a letter addressed yesterday to the president of the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights, the president of the Licra (International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism) denounced the excesses and failure of the League of Human Rights of man."

Last week, and before the Senate Law Commission, whose subject was in particular the violence that broke out during the illegal demonstration against the "mega-basins", Gérald Darmanin said he wanted to look into the subsidies from which the LDH.

"I don't know about state subsidies but indeed, it deserves to be looked at"

, declared the Minister of the Interior about the association which is particularly critical of the action of the police in Sainte -Solin.
