In the last hours, new victims were added in several provinces and the first in the capital of Santa Fe. Vizzotti said that the epidemic grips the country with a strengthened health system.

The dengue epidemic does not let up in the country and

new deaths

have been added in the last few hours .

While a new part is expected with the number of infected for this Friday, the provinces have been updating their reports and the total number of deaths has already reached at

least 30

.

The figure is a historical record: it exceeds the record of the largest dengue epidemic in history, that of 2020, when the number of deaths had been 26. In another major epidemic, in 2016, the number had reached 11.

The

map of fatalities

in the country is distributed as follows: the province with the most deaths is Salta (10), followed by Tucumán (8), Santa Fe (5), Córdoba (2), Jujuy (2), Buenos Aires (1), Entre Ríos (1) and Santiago del Estero (1).

From the province of Salta, although they confirmed the ten deaths, they tried to tone down the stage by stating that these people "died with dengue, not from dengue

.

"

They were referring to the fact that the patients had other comorbidities, something that usually complicates the pictures.

In this context, despite reaching a number of deaths never before exceeded in a season, the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, stated in the last few hours that the dengue outbreak "finds a strengthened health system after going

through

a pandemic".
