LES ENCONTRES DU FIGARO - Gathered in the Gaveau room, the philosopher and the journalist delivered their respective thoughts on the sacred and the spiritual with sensitivity and humor.

A conversation about the peaks.

Heights from which the two thinkers were able to exchange with finesse on themes that some would have cheerfully rejected, because they belong to a world often presented as in ruins: the sacred, transcendence and the soul.

Michel Onfray, author of

Anima

(Albin Michel) and Sonia Mabrouk, author of

Reconquering the Sacred

 (Éditions de l'Observatoire).

were the guests of the Rencontres du Figaro this Wednesday, April 12 at the Salle Gaveau, packed that evening.

Philosopher on one side, journalist and essayist on the other, the guests were also, and perhaps above all, present on this stage to evoke their intimate thoughts.

Launched by Vincent Trémolet de Villers under the patronage of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the evening took place against a backdrop of spiritual concern:

"What should we say to men?"

The suffering of this poet, who used to frequent the sky, was the port of departure: "

I am heavy with a music that will never again be understood

", he wrote.
