(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 17 - Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group killed children in Bakhmut and Soledar.
This was confessed to Gulag.net, a Russian human rights organization, by two members of the militia who entered Wagner through prison recruitment.
One of the two, Azamat Uldarov, said he had "shot a 5-year-old girl in the head".
"I carried out the order with this hand, I killed the children, including five-year-olds," said the militiaman.
Together with him, Alexei Savichev also confessed.

According to the two members of the Wagner Group, the order to "clean up" Bakhmut without sparing anyone came from the boss Yevgeny Prigozhin.
It was even worse in Soledar.
Savichev explained that there was an order that "everyone over 15 years old was to be shot at once, without a word. 20-24 people were killed, 10 of whom were 15 years old."
When asked about civilians killed in Ukraine in February 2023, Savichev replied that 15-year-old Ukrainians "can hardly be called civilians" and also said that Wagner militants would face death threats if they communicated with journalists.
