Migrants: landings in Lampedusa, even a corpse

Thirty-three Tunisians, including 7 women and 8 minors, landed in Lampedusa during the night after the 6-metre boat they were traveling on was rescued by the Coast Guard patrol boat CP 273. (HANDLE)

(ANSA) - LAMPEDUSA, APRIL 19 - Thirty-three Tunisians, including 7 women and 8 minors, landed overnight in Lampedusa after the 6-metre boat they were traveling on was rescued by the Coast Guard patrol boat CP 273.


   Yesterday, there were 6 landings on the island with a total of 286 people.

On one of the rescued boats there was also the corpse of a young man: the body is now in the morgue of the Cala Pisana cemetery.


   There are currently 640 migrants present at the contrada Imbriacola hotspot.

In the morning, the Prefecture of Agrigento ordered the transfer of 127 people who will arrive in Porto Empedocle in the evening.
