A woman "died of a heart attack" during clashes that took place last night in Mahan, in the Iranian province of Kerman, between members of the Basij paramilitary group and a group of women and other people over the use of the veil.
In a video that went viral on Iranian social media, one person can be heard referring to the woman as saying: "She is dying" and another woman, who was with the Basijis, replies: "Let them die, the hell with it".
The Irna agency, without referring to the attack by the Basijis, states that the woman died in hospital and that two men, aged 38 and 44, hit on the head during 'some clashes', were treated in hospital.
