(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, APRIL 26 - The Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Chamber has unanimously approved the request by Northern League MEP Susanna Ceccardi, on behalf of the League, to convene a representative of the EU Council to report to MEPs on the choice of the EU High Representative , Josep Borrell, to appoint Luigi Di Maio as special representative for the Gulf.
The president of the commission will now have to notify the request to the EP presidency.
If approved, according to sources close to the dossier, the hearing could already take place in the first weeks of May.
