(ANSA) - ROME, 03 MAY - Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klimenko announced that a Russian shelling hit the only open supermarket in Kherson, in southern Ukraine, killing three civilians and wounding five others, as reported by RBC Ukraine.

Employees and people who were shopping were affected.

"The Russian assassins must be brought to justice. Or destroyed," Klimenko said.


    In view of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, a total curfew will be introduced in Kherson, in the south of the country, which will last from 20.00 on 5 May to 06.00 on 8 May: regional military chief Alexander Prokudin announced it, quoted by the Ukrainian media.

During these 58 hours travel will be prohibited and the city will be closed to entry and exit.

Prokudin added that the restrictions are necessary so that "the police can do their job and not endanger the residents".
