Highlights: An unplanned meeting between the two with Yoni Sharoni (City Garden Movement) gave rise to the song "Killing" which is being released today. "We sat together without defenses and without expectations, and within two and a half hours everything was recorded," Amdursky said. "The beauty of this song is that it all started so by accident (and probably not by accident of course)," said Ninette. "I am very proud of this encounter, and happy to finally let this personal and musical connection on display," he said.

An unplanned meeting between Ninette, Assaf Amdursky and Yoni Sharoni (City Garden Movement) resulted in the first collaboration between the three. Today (Monday) they are releasing "Killing", a song written by the three together with Roy Avital.

"The beauty of this song is that it all started so by accident (and probably not by accident of course). There was one evening when I decided to go out with friends, and by chance Assaf Amdursky and Yoni Sharoni were present. It was very late and we were already in the third drink," Ninette said.

"Assaf with his characteristic nonchalance, asked Yoni and me if we had ever worked together, and in response we both answered together the same words: 'Not yet.' It was 3am and we were already quite perfumed. We located the mobile phones and arranged to meet three weeks ahead. We all showed up for a session and the song was written and produced in one day."

According to Amdursky, "Ninette and I haven't met in a recording studio since 2007, and we preferred to shelve the song we wrote and recorded back then (rightly so, perhaps). Many years have passed, we have both dismantled and reassembled ourselves, as musicians and as people. We arrived at this meeting, together with the talented Yoni and Roy, without preconception, without defenses and without expectations, open and curious and confident enough to show each other how much we love. Within two and a half hours, everything was recorded. I am very proud of this encounter, and happy to finally let this personal and musical connection on display."
