Highlights: The approval rating of the president's work collapses to 36% (ANSA). Joe Biden's support among Americans is still falling. According to the latest Washington Post-ABC poll, in a possible challenge to the White House in 2024 Donald Trump would get 49% of the votes. For 63% he no longer has the "mental acuity" to play his role, up from 43% in 2020 and 54% a year ago. Trump isn't much younger — he would start his second term at 78 — yet most Americans (54%) believe he has the mental capacity to be president.

Joe Biden's support among Americans is still falling. According to the latest Washington Post-ABC poll, in fact, in a possible challenge to the White House in 2024 Donald Trump would get 49% of the votes against 42% of the current president. The approval rating for Biden's work so far is also bad, falling to 36%, compared to 42% in February. In general, 56% disapprove of his work and of these 47% disapprove of him "strongly".
As for the question of age - the president would start a second term at 82 - for 63% he no longer has the "mental acuity" to play his role, up from 43% in 2020 and 54% a year ago. Trump isn't much younger — he would start his second term at age 78 — yet most Americans (54%) believe he has the mental capacity to be president.
