Syria ruler Bashar al-Assad receives Faisal bin Farhan, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, in Damascus on Tuesday. The two met for the first time since the start of the Syrian civil war in March 2011. The meeting was the first between the two countries' foreign ministers in more than a decade. It was also the first meeting between the foreign ministers of both countries since the end of 2011.
