At the age of eight, while living in a center for minors, Jose Luis Mesas discovered what he liked to do, paint. And since then he has never stopped. Over the years, this Majorcan artist of gypsy ethnicity has become a disciple of Mirò and author of the largest painting ever made in Spain, a work 20 meters long and 4.5 meters wide exhibited in a museum in Jaen, as well as a mural on the entire façade of a hotel in Mallorca.

Now his art has brought him to Italy, where he has taken the brushes to color, with his eclectic, bright and cheerful style, defined as figurative pop, one of the walls of the boutique hotel Lifestyle Suites Rome, a jewel set in the heart of Piazza Navona. His first work in Italy is a seven-meter mural in the new cocktail bar, located on the rooftop of the majestic fifteenth-century palace, with breathtaking views of the Basilica of Santa Agnese.

For his first Roman creation, Mesas was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, who represented in the very colorful mural as a magician who, with his magic wand, creates characters typical of his style that depict the family of the hotel's co-founders, the Spanish entrepreneur Alberto Garcia and his wife Giovanna Guarino, an Italian architect who designed and curated with absolute dedication not only the newly opened cocktail bar but also the furnishing of the Thirteen suites, each different from the others, with unique pieces manufactured by local artisans.
