This was confirmed by an AFP journalist. According to reports, the woman was holding a small LED candle - a common scene in commemorative vigils on June 4, 1989 - and two flowers. The police immediately grabbed her and dragged her into a van.
In addition to Chan Po-ying, leader of the League of Social Democrats, police arrested several members of democracy including Alexandra Wong, a prominent democracy activist better known as 'Grandma Wong' and journalist Mak Yin-ting. (ANSA).
