A 50-year-old man was found dead today (Sunday) in his apartment on Moshe Sharett Street in Holon, after he passed away a few days ago. His father, who lived with him and dined with him, was found in the next room dehydrated.
Hillel Hamawi, a ZAKA volunteer in Holon who handled the incident, said: This is a particularly difficult event! A father and son living together, and the son dined with his elderly father. The son passed away a few days ago and we found him in a state of total decay, in an adjacent room we found the father dehydrated because there had been no one to take care of him for several days and he was unable to call for help.
"We gave him first aid and then he was evacuated to the hospital, at the same time we worked there to collect the many findings of the deceased son in order to bring them for burial, the deceased was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for final identification."
