On Monday, Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska and the wife of the country's president, Michal Herzog, visited Sheba Medical Center.
The two arrived at the Mordechai Shani Integrated Rehabilitation Hospital in Sheba. In the "Steps" department, Zelenska met Uri Zehavi, 25, who was left paralyzed in the cervical spine following a serious injury. In addition, in the "Virtual Reality" department, she met Nurit Cohen Abrahams, who has been undergoing treatment for many months due to blockage of blood vessels in both legs.

The First Lady and the President's wife also visited the Edmond and Lily Safra Children's Hospital in Pediatric Department D - Child Psychiatry. In the ward they met Yonatan, an 11-year-old who has been hospitalized for about a month and is on the autistic spectrum with high functioning. Yonatan spoke about his experience in the department, the professional care, and told the two that his mother helped civilians injured in the war in Ukraine. The First Lady of Ukraine was amazed by the uniqueness of the department, the children's rooms and the educational space in the department.

Ukrainian President Olena Zelenskyy's wife said during the visit: "Thank you very much for your hospitality. I hope that we will create new programs in cooperation with our experts from Ukraine and your experts from Israel, in order to empower our health system, especially regarding mental health, mental health programs and support for the rehabilitation of wounded civilians, including children, adults and the elderly. Our medical system cannot cope alone."

The wife of the President of Israel, Michal Herzog, added: "We are very happy that you came here to see for yourself the special treatment here for children. Israel is very proud, we are very proud and want to share our knowledge and infrastructure and wonderful medical facilities with those who need them.
