The land, which was leased by Druze landowners to the turbine construction company, received the appropriate permits, but dozens protested in the area of Kibbutz Elrom, throwing stones and shooting fireworks at policemen. The plan to build wind turbines in the Golan Heights was carried out without expropriating land from the landowners. The land required for the project was leased from their owners for 20 years, in exchange for millions of shekels.

Since morning, calls have been heard among the villages for all residents and Druze throughout the Galilee to come to the Golan and join the struggle. In the northern district, large demonstrations were held against the project and roadblocks were set up to prevent demonstrators from reaching the turbine construction site.
