Sources in the Gaza Strip reported that the murdered man was a commander in the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, responsible for the Jabaliya sector. His son was also murdered in the incident. Documentation from the field indicates that Mansur was killed in a car. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. A spokesman for Hamas' internal security ministry announced that when the forces raided the house that had been surrounded, they discovered when they entered it that the perpetrator had been killed. According to some estimates, this is a family dispute.
