A chase with an 18-year-old driver from the district of Ostallgäu has delivered the police in the night on Sunday (June 25) in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In the end, drugs were also found in the car.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen – A patrol crew of the border police, which is based in Murnau, wanted to stop the young man, who was driving a car with a license plate from the registration district of Landsberg, in the area of the main road in the course of a traffic control. He then pressed, as the police reported, on the gas and sought the distance.
There was a chase, which ended in Föhrenweg with a collision with the company vehicle. The said driver and his passenger, the 23-year-old owner of the car, continued their escape on foot. In the course of a large-scale manhunt, in which a police helicopter was used in addition to several patrol crews, the two young men were finally arrested.
The 18-year-old was under the influence of narcotics and did not have a driver's license. The officers found marijuana in the car. In the accident with the official vehicle, an officer was slightly injured. There was a property damage in the amount of about 5000 euros. The two occupants are now being investigated by the Garmisch-Partenkirchen police department. The list of allegations is long: endangering road traffic, driving without a driver's license, negligent bodily injury, unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident and violation of the Narcotics Act.
